About Hyoscine Butylbromide:

An anticholine drug with the therapeutic effect as atropin. It is used for opacification spasm of pancreas, bile ducts and gastrointestinal tract, gastrointestinal tract colic, nephric colic and biliary colic.

Hyoscine belongs to the group of medications called antispasmodics. Hyoscine is used to relieve smooth muscle spasms (cramps) in the stomach and intestines and in the bladder and urethra. Hyoscine reduces spasms by relaxing smooth muscles within the stomach, intestines, bladder and urethra. The injection form is used to relieve these same types of muscles spasms that might occur during diagnostic procedures.

Hyoscine butylbromide is an antispasmodic medicine which is taken to relieve cramps in the stomach, intestines or bladder. In particular, it helps to ease bloating and the spasm-type pain that can be associated with irritable bowel syndrome and diverticular disease. It works by relaxing some of the muscles in your gastrointestinal and urinary systems.
